The National Archives and Library enhances the preservation of documents in crises and emergencies among Sorbonne students

ABU DHABI, 12 November / WAM / The National Archives and Library, in cooperation with Sorbonne University – Abu Dhabi, organized a lecture entitled “Responding to Emergencies, Crises and Disasters”, which aimed to enhance students’ awareness of the importance of national preparedness and raise the efficiency of emergency response in accordance with the highest international standards, and to emphasize that preserving and preserving documents represents an essential pillar of the system of cognitive security and the country’s national identity.

The lecture was presented by Sheikha Faleh Hassan Al-Qahtani, technical advisor to the National Archives and Library, where she reviewed the concept of national preparedness and the stages of crisis and disaster management, stressing the importance of advance planning and coordination between concerned parties to ensure an effective and rapid response in emergency situations.

Al-Qahtani touched on the most prominent practical practices in emergency management, and the role of qualified national cadres in enhancing the flexibility of institutions and their ability to recover after crises, stressing the necessity of including the protection of national documents and records within national emergency plans as an integral part of the state’s knowledge security system.

The lecture witnessed wide interaction from students who enriched it with their inquiries and interventions about crisis response mechanisms in work environments, and the role of national institutions in enhancing community awareness regarding risk management.

Sorbonne University – Abu Dhabi and the participants appreciated the efforts made by the Archives and the National Library in disseminating specialized knowledge, stressing the importance of the lecture in enhancing the culture of preparedness and national response among students in emergency and crisis situations.
