Russian attack during the night on Ternopil in the west of UkraineNine people were killed and dozens injured, according to what the Ukrainian President announced Volodymyr Zelensky Wednesday.
He said on social media "In Ternopil, nine-storey residential buildings were targeted… So far, dozens of people have been injured and unfortunately, nine have been killed"
He published pictures and video recordings of several-story buildings destroyed and surrounded by smoke, in what appeared to be the repercussions of the strike.
Zelensky said: "People may be stuck under the rubble"
Ukrainian infrastructure
Moscow has intensified its strikes with drones and missiles in recent months, targeting Ukrainian energy infrastructure, while striking several civilian sites before winter.
Zelensky reported that in the latest wave of attacks during the night, Russia launched more than 470 drones and 48 missiles of various types.
Local authorities reported that the attacks led to people being injured in the Kharkiv region (northeast) and in the area Ivano-Frankivsk (West).
