Belarusian"Labano" Champion of the men’s table tennis competition at the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Championship

Abu Dhabi, March 13 / WAM / Belarusian Andrei Labano won the men’s table tennis title, as part of the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Ramadan Championship – Al Wathba 2026.
The tournament will be held at the Sheikh Zayed Festival headquarters in Al Wathba, and will continue until March 17, with the participation of more than 5,000 male and female athletes in 16 competitions, with a total prize pool of 10 million dirhams.
Labano won the championship title after strong competitions after winning the final match over Jordanian Khaled Bassem, and Egyptian Mohamed Osama came third.
The winners were crowned by Abdul Rahman Al Menhali, a member of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Tennis Club, and he praised the role played by the tournament in improving the skills and competitive capabilities of male and female players, and the large participation of different nationalities in various events, coinciding with the Year of the Family.
On a related note, the amateur competitions in the padel competition concluded yesterday, with the C category title won, after the duo Moeen Al-Sarraj and Ghanem Al-Hashimi won the title. Jassim Al-Nuaimi and Khalifa Al-Marri came second, Hamdallah Muhammad and Muhammad Al-Qubaisi came third, and Fares Al-Ashrafi and Rami Yaslam came fourth.
The duo, Muhammad Ramadan and Saeed Al Hammadi, won the “D” category title, and Hassan Al Ali and Omar Al Attar came second, Muhammad Saif and Nasser Abbas came third, and Khalaf Salem and Abdullah Al Saiari came fourth.
The “Wrestling” competitions began yesterday amid an exceptional atmosphere and public interaction to learn about this traditional Emirati sport that belongs to the sport of wrestling. 30 players compete in the championship activities in 3 categories, for weights under 80 kg, above 80 kg, and above 90 kg.
The activities of the Muay Thai Championship will continue tomorrow (Saturday), in various categories, after the great success of launching the competitions for the second time during this tournament, amid a great demand from all segments of society to participate.
