A trial in Paris…and Kim appears with millions of dollars worth of jewelry to confront her thieves

Jewelry expert Laura Taylor told People magazine that Kardashian’s appearance was not ordinary: “It was the first time she faced the people accused of stealing her, and she was aware of the presence of the cameras and was keen, as usual, to control her image in front of public opinion.”

The incident dates back to October 2016, when Kardashian was staying at the No Address Hotel during Paris Fashion Week. Reports indicate that a group of people impersonating the police stormed her suite and stole valuable jewelry. In her statement to the police, she said that she was surprised by the intruders and was taken into the room before being restrained.

The value of the stolen items was estimated at millions of dollars at the time, and included pieces from Cartier, Jacob and Lorraine Schwartz, in addition to a gold Rolex watch and other rare pieces, making the operation one of the largest jewelry thefts in the history of the French capital.
