Trump announces a permanent halt to immigration from all third world countries

US President Donald Trump said he intends to stop immigration from “third world countries”, a day after an Afghan citizen shot two National Guard soldiers in Washington.

“I will permanently stop immigration from all third world countries to allow the American system to fully recover,” Trump wrote on social media.

He also threatened to cancel “millions” of accepted applications granted under his predecessor, Joe Biden, and “deport anyone who does not provide the United States with additional value.”
