UN official: The lives of Gaza Strip residents are threatened by unexploded ordnance

The head of the United Nations Mine Action Mission in the occupied Palestinian territories, Julius van der, said that the lives of the residents of the Gaza Strip are threatened by the large number of unexploded ordnance."RTL" lang="AR-SA"Van der added – in a special statement to Cairo News Channel today, Friday – that the Gaza Strip, after two years of the Israeli war, has become an open minefield, noting that contamination with explosive ordnance includes all areas of the Strip, causing about 3 million people to be directly or indirectly affected by the current situation.
