المملكة: Extending the application of the Official Communications and Document Preservation Regulations for an additional year
Approved The Royal Court, which included a letter from the General Supervisor of the National Center for Documents and Archives, who requested an extension of the indicative application period for the regulation with the aim of completing the requirements for its application and enhancing the readiness of government agencies.
The regulation dates back to Council of Ministers Resolution No. (584) dated 7/18/1445 AH, while a previous resolution No. (367) dated 5/10/1446 AH was issued regarding its proper implementation. As a guideline, before the Council of Ministers agrees to extend this period for another year.
The extension comes within the framework of supporting Efforts to organize official communications in government agencies, and enhance mechanisms for preserving documents and information and managing them according to standards that guarantee the protection of official documents and improve the efficiency of dealing with them.
