876.56 million dirhams in Dubai Duty Free sales in November

Dubai Duty Free announced yesterday that it achieved its highest monthly sales figures ever, after recording 876.56 million dirhams last November, an increase of 16.77%, compared to November 2024.
The market reported, in a statement, that average daily sales recorded a new record of 29.21 million dirhams, compared to 26.51 million dirhams in December 2024, noting that November 2025 topped the months that broke previous records, exceeding the previous monthly record of 821 million dirhams, recorded in December 2024.
Total Dubai Duty Free sales, as of mid-November, exceeded 7.34 billion dirhams, a culmination of the continuous growth momentum achieved by the market throughout the year, as on November 29, it achieved the highest sales during the year, after it jumped to 37.55 million dirhams. As for total sales for the year so far, it recorded 7.75 billion dirhams, an increase of 9.57%, compared to the same period last year.
Dubai Duty Free CEO, Ramesh Kidambi, said: “November marked a milestone in Dubai Duty Free’s 42-year history, as it recorded an exceptional performance by all standards, exceeding the barrier of two billion dollars (7.34 billion dirhams) by November 15, and achieving a new record for the highest monthly sales ever, in an important achievement that establishes the market’s leading position in the travel retail sector, and reflects its success in maintaining a high pace of growth and remarkable performance throughout the year.”
He stated that “Dubai Duty Free recorded growth in high-value transactions during November, as transactions with a value of less than 500 dirhams increased by 1.35% in number, and 6.94% in value, contributing 25% of total sales. On the other hand, transactions with a value of more than 500 dirhams increased by 15.16% in number, and 20.54% in value, to constitute the remaining 75% of sales.
He pointed out that perfumes continued to top the list of best-selling goods, recording 160.58 million dirhams in November, an increase of 13.29%, followed by gold jewelry in second place with sales amounting to 87.67 million dirhams, an increase of 16.68%. Sales of tobacco products also increased, achieving 85.99 million dirhams, an increase of 11.44%.
Kidambi added that sales of candy and sweets recorded the highest record in its history, with an increase of 42.93%, achieving 83.29 million dirhams in November. Dubai Chocolate sales recorded 35.69 million dirhams, equivalent to 80.59 tons, from nine brands, contributing 42.86% of the total sales of candy and sweets.
