The statement indicated that weak order books led to the largest decline in production since last February.
It indicated that although an increase in international orders was recorded, for the first time in about four years, this was not sufficient to stop the decline in the total volume of sales, which was affected by weak domestic demand.

The joint statement stated that French manufacturers intensified the processes of reducing inventories in November, recording the largest decline in finished product stocks since April 2020.
In light of this weak demand, manufacturers took austerity measures, including reducing the number of employees for the first time since last May and reducing their purchases.
