"Emirates Sharia Fatwa" Launches an initiative to support patients during the holy month

Abu Dhabi, 13 March / WAM / The Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwa launched a humanitarian initiative entitled “Rest assured / You are in the month of mercy”, as part of its community programs during the holy month of Ramadan, and its keenness to strengthen its humanitarian and fatwa presence among segments of society, especially patients and those who care for them in health facilities.
The initiative aims to introduce the specialized fatwa services that the Council provides to patients, and to clarify the legal rulings related to their health conditions, in addition to enhancing direct communication with them during the holy month.
The initiative includes a package of specific activities and events, including activating field fatwa visits for patients to answer their legal inquiries and provide them with moral support, in addition to allocating a direct line for cases that require a visit by fatwa staff, and distributing a group of awareness-raising publications that address patient rulings and fatwa issues related to it in Arabic and English, in addition to providing lectures and fatwa sessions directed at medical staff that contribute to clarifying the legal aspects related to their daily work.
The initiative comes as part of the Council’s efforts to expand the scope of its community programs during the Year of the Family, and to consolidate integration between the fatwa message and humanitarian work, which contributes to supporting patients during the Month of Mercy, and enhancing the culture of care and concern for all segments of society.
