Israeli occupation forces arrest at least 40 Palestinians from the West Bank

The Israeli occupation forces launched a massive arrest campaign, targeting at least 40 Palestinians from the West Bank, including Jerusalem.

The Prisoner’s Club stated – in a statement today, Tuesday, according to the Palestinian News Agency, “Wafa”. – The arrest operations were concentrated in the governorates of Hebron, Nablus, and Bethlehem, while the rest were distributed in the governorates of Ramallah, Jenin, Salfit, and Qalqilya. In addition, the occupation forces carried out field investigation operations in several towns and detained dozens of young men.

 

It explained that the arrest and field investigation operations are accompanied by widespread abuse and attacks against detainees and their families, in addition to shooting. Directly with the aim of killing, and using detainees as hostages, in addition to widespread sabotage and destruction operations in citizens’ homes.

 

The occupation authorities continue to carry out arrest operations, which constitute the most prominent consistent and systematic policies that they implement daily against citizens, and which included all segments of Palestinian society, as the number of arrests in the West Bank after the war of extermination reached about (21 thousand) arrests. In a related context, the occupation forces continued to violate the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, targeting residential buildings and various areas.

 

Wafa reported that these violations included blowing up homes and residential buildings, in addition to intense air and artillery strikes in the areas east of Gaza City and Rafah, and gunboats opened fire in the open sea of Khan Yunis, and in the neighborhood of Al-Shuja’iya, east of Gaza City, the occupation forces detonated an armored vehicle with explosives, while Israeli aircraft launched raids on the Al-Tuffah and Al-Zaytoun neighborhoods, and in Al-Bureij in the middle of the Gaza Strip, the occupation vehicles opened fire towards the northeastern areas of the Al-Bureij camp.

 

The occupation military vehicles opened fire near the Morag axis, north of Rafah, and an intense flight of occupation warplanes was observed in the air, with residential buildings being blown up. East of Khan Yunis.

 

This morning, the Israeli occupation forces stormed Al-Quds University. In the town of Abu Dis, east of occupied Jerusalem, its military vehicles moved between several colleges, which led to a state of confusion.

 

It is noteworthy that this is the second raid, as the occupation forces continue to storm Birzeit University, since dawn today, and detain five university security personnel.
