The UAE national team will face Algeria in the Arab Cup in the best possible way

The coach of the UAE national football team, Romanian Elario Cosmin, confirmed the team’s readiness to face Algeria tomorrow, Friday, in the quarter-finals of the Arab Cup, stressing that, although the team will face a team that is considered one of the most prominent candidates to win the title, it is looking forward to passing this stage and reaching the semi-finals.

Cosmin described the match as difficult, considering it a good challenge for them, stressing his respect for the Algerian national team due to the quality of its players, but at the same time he will work to confront it in the best way possible.

Cosmin said during the introductory press conference for the match, which was held today, Thursday: “We will be motivated during the match, and we have young players, some of whom are playing in the tournament for the first time, and it is a good opportunity to get to know the players who are able to play in such an atmosphere. We have previously faced teams with large fans, such as Iraq and Jordan, and we do not feel any fear in this aspect.”

Regarding the problems that the team suffers from, especially in the dead-ball aspect, Cosmin said: “We took a fair amount of time to train in this aspect, but there are still some difficulties, especially after the loss of the player Luan Pereira. We have players who are good at executing set-pieces, such as Lucas Pimenta and Sasha, and we will seek to find solutions and continue working, but time is currently limited and does not allow for much change.”

The national team coach added: “In the last match, the players returned to smiling after the victory over Kuwait in the last round, and got rid of the state of sadness that they experienced, and I hope that the players will overcome the current psychological state and pressures.”

Cosmin stressed that when a player represents his country, he does not need additional motivation, as everyone has self-motivation to give their best.

He pointed out that the problems that the team is going through are faced by any other team, stressing that he is focusing on preparing for the match well, regardless of the identity of the opponent, pointing out that he does not want to talk about the past, and that his complete focus is currently on facing Algeria.
