Abu Dhabi Investment Office and the Chinese International Federation of Entrepreneurs sign a strategic partnership

ABU DHABI, December 13, 2017 – The Abu Dhabi Investment Office announced the signing of a strategic partnership with the Chinese International Entrepreneurs Federation – SIEF, to link its global network of companies and investment institutions to the advanced Abu Dhabi system.
The signing of the partnership, which was announced during the activities of Abu Dhabi Financial Week 2025, comes within the framework of efforts aimed at enhancing the participation of investors and capital in qualitative investment opportunities that meet their needs and support their expansion plans.
His Excellency Badr Salim Sultan Al Olama, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, said that this partnership represents a pivotal step towards enhancing capital flows within an advanced investment environment that supports the industries of the future, explaining that the office provides global investors, through this cooperation, with high-growth opportunities in an environment characterized by stability and innovation, which consolidates Abu Dhabi’s position as a major gateway between the East and the West and a global center for sustainable investment.
For his part, William Wang, the main representative of the Federation of Chinese International Entrepreneurs in the Middle East and Africa, said that Abu Dhabi’s approach, through the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, is in line with the Federation’s network requirements related to the presence of an interconnected financial infrastructure, regulatory clarity, and access to co-investment opportunities with sovereign funds, which are advantages that only limited markets provide.
He added that the attractive mix that Abu Dhabi offers to family offices and institutional investors includes sovereign capital amounting to approximately $1.8 trillion, in addition to advanced regulatory frameworks in new categories of assets and alternative investments, and the strategic location linking the East and the West, supports the Union’s aspiration to provide these opportunities to qualified investors.
It is worth noting that the “Chinese International Entrepreneurship Federation – SIEF” is a global non-profit organization that links entrepreneurs, investors and policy makers across Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Through this partnership, it will work to open the way for leading international companies and investment companies to explore the opportunities available in Abu Dhabi.
