"international criminal" It rejects Israel’s request to stop investigating its crimes in the Gaza Strip

On Monday, the appeals judges at the International Criminal Court rejected another appeal submitted by Israel to stop the court’s investigation into its handling of the war on the Gaza Strip.
On appeal, the judges refused to overturn a lower court’s decision that the prosecution’s investigation into crimes that fall under its jurisdiction may include the events that followed the Al-Aqsa flood operation on October 7, 2023.
This decision means that the investigation is continuing and that the arrest warrants that were issued in the year The past against the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and the former Army Minister, Yoav Galant, still exists.
Israel rejects the jurisdiction of the court based in The Hague, and denies committing war crimes in Gaza, where it is waging a military campaign that it says aims to eliminate Hamas in the wake of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation.
The International Criminal Court initially issued an arrest warrant against the Hamas leader, Muhammad Diab Ibrahim al-Masri, known as Bassem Muhammad Al-Deif, on charges of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity, but they later withdrew this after reliable reports of his death came in.
The ceasefire agreement in the conflict entered into force on October 10, 2025, but the war destroyed much of the infrastructure in the Gaza Strip, in addition to the deterioration of living conditions in Gaza.
Health officials in Gaza say that about 67,000 Palestinians were martyred during the Israeli aggression on Gaza, Their statements are often cited by the United Nations.
This ruling focuses on only one of several legal appeals filed by Israel to stop the ICC’s investigations and the arrest warrants issued against its officials.
There is no timetable for the court to decide on the various other appeals regarding its jurisdiction in this case.
