Declared International Atomic Energy Agency Wednesday that Bushehr nuclear plant in the south of Iranwas attacked by"projectile" On Tuesday evening, no damage to infrastructure or casualties resulted.
The agency, based in Vienna, stated on its account on the platform "X" that it "I was informed from Iran that a projectile struck the facilities of the Bushehr nuclear station on Tuesday evening, and did not result in damage to the station or injuries among the workers."
Nuclear accident
The agency quoted its director general, Rafael Grossi, as calling for it again. "To exercise restraint during a conflict to avoid the risk of a nuclear accident"
The production capacity of the Bushehr station, which is the only operating nuclear station in Iran, is 1,000 megawatts, which represents a small portion of the country’s electricity needs.
