Sharjah Police announces that the repercussions of the depression have been contained, without serious incidents being recorded

The Sharjah Police General Command confirmed that concerted efforts and joint coordination with strategic partners contributed to containing the repercussions of the air depression that the country witnessed recently, without recording serious incidents, expressing its appreciation for the cooperation of community members, their awareness, and their commitment to the instructions issued during the weather situation. This contributed to enhancing public safety and ensuring continuity of movement in various regions of the emirate.

It stated, in a post on the Facebook platform, that it had activated emergency and rapid response plans since the beginning of the weather situation, and had raised the level of field and operational readiness, through the spread of security and traffic patrols on the internal and external roads in the emirate. To ensure the smooth flow of traffic, and to deal immediately with any emergency situations.

Sharjah Police explained that the operations rooms dealt with reports and communications received with high efficiency through the call center 999 for emergency cases and 901 for non-emergency cases, as (8145) calls were dealt with via 999, and (1239) calls via 901, in addition to responding to inquiries and providing support and assistance to customers around the clock. This reflects the readiness of police cadres and their efficiency in dealing with various circumstances with high professionalism, noting that the measures taken included proactive field plans in coordination with the relevant authorities, in addition to broadcasting awareness and guidance messages through Sharjah Police’s social media platforms; To enhance public awareness of preventive measures to preserve their safety during the weather condition, stressing the continuation of its efforts during the rainy season.
