Hill climbing competitions conclude the Liwa International Festival tomorrow

Liwa, 2nd January, WAM / The Liwa International Festival 2026 will conclude its competitions tomorrow, Saturday, bringing down the curtain on one of its most powerful and exciting editions, after days full of challenges in desert motor sports, which witnessed the wide participation of an elite group of drivers from inside and outside the country, in a competitive atmosphere that confirmed the advanced position of the festival on the map of specific sporting events.

The final day will witness the holding of hill climb competitions in three main categories: the agency category, the open category, and the Hilux category, where all eyes are directed to the decisive struggle on a terrifying hill, in unmissable confrontations until the last car, amid a large audience presence and a continuous passion for desert challenge sports.

The hill climb competitions for the six-cylinder turbo (V6 Turbo) and eight-cylinder gas (V8 gas) categories concluded yesterday, presenting one of the strongest stations of the festival in terms of technical level and closeness in time.

In the V6 Turbo category, contestant Yousef Mohammed Al-Ali achieved first place with a time of 5.181 seconds, followed by Khaled Abdullah Rashid in second place with a time of 5.206 seconds, while Khaled Al-Rifai came third with a time of 6.263 seconds.

As for the V8 Gas category, Issa Abdullah Hussein Musharbek won first place with a time of 5.824 seconds, Yousef Muhammad Al-Ali came second with a time of 5.931 seconds, and Mishal Muhammad Al-Khalidi came third with a time of 5.948 seconds.
