Not everything that is trendy suits you… How do you build your own style in the world of fashion?

Madeleine Dangman, editor of Glamor magazine for fashion and beauty, believes that true personal style begins with a sense of harmony with what we wear, not from how fashionable it is. In her opinion, choosing clothes should stem from pleasure and comfort, not from the pressure of passing trends.
Dangman emphasizes that style is not a fixed template, but rather develops with the different stages of life, warning against imposing looks that are not in line with the daily lifestyle, because that creates a feeling of affectation or self-denial. She advises going back to the wardrobe, identifying favorite pieces and analyzing the commonalities between them, to extract a clear “style fingerprint” that helps in making more informed purchasing decisions.
When shopping, the expert recommends adopting a simple rule: any new piece must be able to be coordinated into at least three different looks, otherwise it often does not belong to the true personal style.
It also encourages the adoption of the “capsule wardrobe” concept, which is based on a limited number of basic, high-quality pieces, such as comfortable jeans, a white shirt, a classic jacket, and a bag with a timeless design, with the possibility of renewing the look through accessories or some modern touches.
Dangman concludes that personal style is not a race against fashion, but a quiet path of self-discovery, balancing identity, comfort and sincere expression through clothing.
