Riyadh: 356 participants from 32 countries in the camp "Pioneers of the future of metals"

The work of the in-person camp for the global competition for innovation in metals (pioneers ), regulated by the Ministry of .
356 participants representing 70 qualified teams from 32 countries are participating in the camp, chosen from among 1,812 applicants who formed 371 teams from 57 countries around the world, in confirmation of the growing international momentum enjoyed by the competition and its status as a global platform for innovation in the mining sector.
Pioneers of the Future of Metals
The participating teams will enter the in-person camp stage through three Main tracks to address six specific challenges, two challenges in each track, with the aim of developing innovative solutions that contribute to raising the efficiency of the mining sector and enhancing its competitiveness and sustainability.
The first track focuses "Smart technologies track for mining operations and services" To innovate advanced technical solutions that contribute to accelerating and expanding mineral exploration operations, and automating and digitizing control and compliance services in mining complexes, in a way that reduces reliance on human intervention, accelerates decision-making, and increases operational efficiency.
Mining Operations
The second path comes. "Security and safety path in mining operations" To focus on developing proactive solutions and technologies to predict risks and reduce accidents in harsh operational environments, thus enhancing the protection of workers in mining sites, and raising the reliability of operations.
This is complemented by the third track, the resource sustainability track in mining operations, which is concerned with enhancing the efficiency of consumption of natural resources, and developing solutions to reuse and recycle mining waste, which contributes to reducing the environmental impact and transforming waste into valuable resources that support the continuity of the sector.
International Mining Conference
The attendance camp is an essential station. Within the path of the global competition (Pioneers of the Future of Metals), it provides an interactive work environment that enables the qualified teams to develop their solutions and raise their readiness for practical application, before concluding the competition by announcing and honoring the winning teams on January 14, 2026, on the sidelines of the fifth edition of the International Mining Conference, scheduled to be held in the city of Riyadh during the period from January 13 to 15, 2026.
It is an international platform that brings together decision-makers and experts to discuss the future of the mining and minerals sector, and to enhance cooperation. And reviewing investment opportunities, which contributes to developing the sector and consolidating the Kingdom’s position as a global center for dialogue on mining.
