Abu Dhabi, January 28 / WAM / Abu Dhabi National Insurance Company is preparing to open its new branch in India, in the city of Gift, thus becoming an international financial services center for India in the state of Gujarat.
According to a press release issued today, the company has obtained the approval of the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates, while it is expected to obtain Indian regulatory approvals before the branch opening date scheduled for the second half of 2026.
This step comes within the framework of the company’s international growth strategy, and the India branch is expected to contribute to diversifying revenues and enhancing the company’s ability to support its customers in one of the highest growing markets.
The UAE and India continue to strengthen their economic partnership, with their commitment to doubling the volume of bilateral trade to reach $200 billion by 2032, based on the significant gains achieved by the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement concluded in 2022. The company’s branch in India will have a pivotal role in strengthening bilateral economic ties between the two countries.
