Sharjah, 28th January / WAM / The activities of the seventh edition of the “Emirates Jewelery Exhibition 2026”, organized by the Expo Center Sharjah at its headquarters and with the support of the “Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry”, kicked off today, and will continue until the first of next February, with wide participation that includes more than 180 jewelry makers and more than 500 local and international brands specializing in gold, silver, diamonds and precious stones.

The exhibition was opened by Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Ports, Customs and Free Zones Authority, and he toured the exhibition halls, during which he viewed the latest collections and innovations in the field of jewelry and the latest contemporary designs presented by local and international companies. He also met a number of Emirati designers, both male and female, participating within the “Emirates Jewelers” platform, and listened to an explanation from them about their most important gold jewelry and their unique designs, which are in line with the most prominent fashion lines and preserve the authentic Emirati heritage.

The Chairman of the Sharjah Ports, Customs and Free Zones Authority also inspected the “Sharjah Pearls” exhibition stand and listened to an explanation from the exhibition officials about what the event offers from a variety of heritage and cultural activities specialized in pearl culture, in addition to a display of the most luxurious and rare pieces of natural pearls in the Emirate of Sharjah, in addition to ancient heritage Emirati jewelry that was used in the past.

Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah bin Sultan Al Qasimi stressed that the Emirates Jewels Exhibition reflects the growing position of the Emirate of Sharjah as a leading regional center for the manufacture and trade of gold and jewelry, and confirms its success in providing a stimulating environment that combines innovation, supporting entrepreneurs, and preserving the authentic Emirati identity and heritage. He pointed out that the continued support for specialized exhibitions contributes to attracting major international brands and opens new horizons for Emirati designers to display their creativity and enhance their presence in local and international markets. He praised the success of the exhibition in attracting Many new exhibitors, jewelry and goldsmith designers, and the most famous local brands in the world of gold, diamonds and precious stones, which confirms the event’s status for local companies wishing to promote their products and expand their business.

And precious stones, explaining that these platforms contribute to supporting value chains from innovation and design to marketing and provide sustainable growth opportunities for entrepreneurs and national talents, in line with Sharjah’s vision of diversifying the economy and supporting value-added creative industries.

For his part, His Excellency Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of the Expo Center Sharjah, pointed out that the UAE is at the forefront of the global growth scene in the jewelry industry, with the increasing interest of auction houses and luxury brands in the region, driven by a well-established culture of appreciation of precious stones and a young generation searching for innovative and unique designs. Hence the importance of the Emirates Jewelery Exhibition in confirming the center’s keenness to continue its efforts in supporting the gold industry and trade at the local level, indicating that the exhibition is witnessing wide participation, whether from the most important local brands or by an elite group of Emirati entrepreneurs. Those working in the gold and jewelry industry and trade, which ensures that visitors have a unique shopping experience in the world of gold and jewelry, including a display of the latest jewelry designs and gold and diamond sets.

The exhibition, which is held on an area of ​​12,000 square metres, witnesses wide participation from the Middle East, Asia and Europe, including pavilions from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Lebanon, Italy, Russia, Turkey, Singapore, Thailand, India and Pakistan displaying the latest designs of gold, diamonds, manufactured jewellery, pearls, precious stones and luxury watches, in addition to wide participation from Emirati exhibitors and a special pavilion highlighting the creativity of Emirati designers who have effectively proven their presence in this field under the umbrella of the “Emirates Goldsmiths” platform.

As part of the exhibition’s activities, the second edition of the “Sharjah Pearls Exhibition” will be held in cooperation with the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and “Suwaidi Pearls” and in a strategic partnership with the American Gemological Institute, with the aim of reviving the Emirati maritime heritage, highlighting the value of natural pearls, supporting and developing the gems and jewelry sector, and enhancing Sharjah’s position as a regional and international center in this sector.

In its new edition, the exhibition is distinguished by the launch of the “Luxury Pavilion” in a space dedicated to the finest jewelry houses and exceptional designs, which includes an elite group of the most famous international brands, and allows visitors to view the latest creations of fine jewelry and acquire unique and rare pieces. The exhibition also offers its visitors distinctive purchasing opportunities and profitable deals, in addition to a group of events, competitions, and major prizes, making it a major destination for lovers of elegance and a platform to discover the latest jewelry trends.
