It witnessed (7) announcements to launch specific initiatives, in addition to the signing of (27) agreements, which will contribute to strengthening strategic partnerships and achieving the goals of the conference in a way that benefits the Kingdom.

Conference "ICAN 2026"

During the conference, an initiative was launched "Smy 2"In partnership with 11 ministries, with the aim of enabling the workforce in the targeted government sectors to make practical and responsible use of artificial intelligence technologies, raise the level of productivity, and enhance efficiency in work environments, through specialized training and awareness programs that contribute to building national capabilities and qualifying competencies to keep pace with rapid technical transformations and labor market requirements.

A number of qualitative initiatives were also launched, including the launch of the second version of the National Framework for Standards for Academic Programs in Data and Artificial Intelligence to be a national reference for development and evaluation. Higher education programmes, ensuring the quality of outputs and their alignment with regulatory requirements and labor market needs.

Artificial Intelligence

The national curriculum in data and artificial intelligence was also launched for university students in various disciplines, as a reference for developing a mandatory university course for all majors, providing university students with the necessary skills to employ artificial intelligence in various fields.

As a practical extension of this path, (40) academic programs in data and artificial intelligence were also launched, in (14) universities. Governmental and private, including master’s and bachelor’s programs, sub-specializations, and higher professional diplomas, in a way that enhances the alignment of educational outcomes with national trends and labor market needs.

Planning for Career Needs

At the conference, the second version of the National Framework for Professional Standards in Data and Artificial Intelligence was launched as a national reference for data and artificial intelligence professions and their requirements for skills, qualifications, and capabilities, which supports the unification of professional practices, and enables agencies to plan for job needs, and align training plans with Skill requirements for professions.

The capacity building platform was launched at the conference "Smartest X"It is a national platform that provides training paths related to data and artificial intelligence professions in partnership with major technology companies and international universities, such as IBM, Microsoft, AWS, and ORACLE, in addition to providing a national skills register that reflects the learning journey and enhances the readiness of capabilities for the labor market.

National Competencies

It was also launched "Data and AI badges for individuals"It is a national initiative to honor distinguished national competencies, stimulate scientific and professional excellence, and highlight national talents, across multiple categories that include artificial intelligence researchers, artificial intelligence engineers, and data scientists.

The conference concluded by honoring the conference partners, which are the academic partner, King Saud University, the knowledge partner, the Human Capacity Development Program, and the strategic partner of the conference, the Company. "science"
