Special Olympics UAE launches season "Top golf" With the participation of 50 players
DUBAI, 17 JUNE / WAM / Special Olympics UAE, in cooperation with Dubai Golf and Top Golf Dubai, officially launched the “Top Golf 2026” season during a sports event hosted by Top Golf Dubai headquarters, with the participation of Special Olympics UAE players of people of determination, coaches, volunteers and representatives of partner agencies, in a step that reflects the joint commitment to promoting inclusive sports and providing quality sporting opportunities for people of determination in the UAE.
The event began with an introductory workshop targeting volunteers, coaches, and the TopGolf Dubai team, where the program objectives, implementation mechanisms, and best practices for dealing with players were reviewed, ensuring the provision of a safe, supportive, and stimulating sports environment for learning and development.
The event witnessed the launch of the first official training sessions of the season, with the participation of 50 male and female players of determination, who underwent practical golf training under the supervision of qualified trainers, and with the support of 20 volunteers from the Emirates Marshall Sports Volunteer Program.
During the event, it was announced that a memorandum of understanding was signed between the UAE Special Olympics, Dubai Golf, and Top Golf Dubai for the period from May to August 2026, after completing all procedures and understandings between the concerned parties, which enhances the continuity of joint cooperation and expands the scope of sports and training programs designated for people of determination.
The program organizers confirmed that the Top Golf 2026 season aims to develop the sporting skills of golf players, enhance the concepts of community integration through sports, and support the physical and mental health of participants, in addition to providing sustainable training and competitive opportunities throughout the season.
It is expected that the 2026 season will witness a series of training sessions and specific sports activities that will contribute to strengthening the UAE’s position as one of the world’s leading countries in the field of developing inclusive sports and empowering people of determination through sports.
