Abu Dhabi, 6 February / WAM / The Tawazun Defense Empowerment Council “Tawazun” announced the conclusion of a comprehensive technical services agreement with Solutions+, a subsidiary of Mubadala Investment Company, in order to provide integrated and comprehensive technical solutions that cover the various needs of the Council, within the framework of supporting institutional excellence, accelerating digital transformation, and enhancing the efficiency of the operational governance system.

The signing of the agreement was witnessed by His Excellency Dr. Nasser Humaid Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Tawazun Defense Empowerment Council, and His Excellency Humaid Abdullah Al Shammari, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Solutions+ and Executive Vice President of the Mubadala Group.

The agreement was signed by His Excellency Khalifa Iyada Al Hameli, Executive Director of the Strategy and Executive Affairs Sector at the Tawazun Defense Empowerment Council, and Ali Saleh Al Yafei, Chief Operating Officer of Solutions+.

This partnership comes in line with the Council’s commitment to adopting secure and scalable sovereign technologies, which contributes to raising the level of performance, simplifying procedures, and enabling decision-making based on data and artificial intelligence in all the various directorates and divisions of the Council.

Under the agreement, Solutions+ Plus will provide integrated solutions of managed technical services, which include enterprise applications, infrastructure, cloud computing enablement, cybersecurity, technical services management, and user support, through a platform that ensures reliability, flexibility, and business continuity.

His Excellency Khalifa Iyada Al Hameli, Executive Director of the Strategy and Executive Affairs Sector at the Tawazun Defense Empowerment Council, said that this agreement represents a strategic step within the Tawazun Council’s path to developing a smart and flexible institutional model, based on employing advanced digital technologies and artificial intelligence to support governance, raise performance efficiency, and enhance the quality of decision-making.

He added that the Council believes that digital transformation is no longer an option, but rather a national necessity to ensure readiness and sustainability, especially in sectors of strategic importance to national security.

He explained that this partnership is consistent with the UAE’s trends in adopting secure sovereign solutions and building advanced digital systems led by data and smart technologies, which enhances the efficiency of national institutions and their ability to respond to the requirements of the future, through cooperation with a reliable national provider, while emphasizing the commitment to empowering national competencies, and establishing a digital structure that supports the Council’s role as a major enabler of the national defense and security industries system.

For his part, Nasser Al Nabhani, Managing Director of Solutions+, said that the strategic partnership with the Tawazun Defense Empowerment Council reflects Solutions+’s commitment to supporting vital national entities with sovereign and secure technology solutions, based on innovation and artificial intelligence, and capable of expansion in line with the requirements of the next stage.

He added that this agreement embodies the company’s role in enabling digital transformation at the state level, by building a flexible digital infrastructure that enhances governance and efficiency of operations, and contributes to the development of smart systems that rely on data, in a way that supports the UAE’s vision of building an advanced knowledge economy and enhancing the readiness of strategic sectors.
