In the document: sanctions against a famous media personality and the suspension of her program

The authority stated, in an official statement, reported by local media, that the penalties included stopping the broadcast of the “Voice of the People” program for a period of 30 days, and preventing its presenter, Marwa Hashem, from appearing on screen for a period of 90 days.
The statement added that the procedures included obliging the “Iraq Al-Hadath” channel to delete the violating episode, which included insulting an officer of the Iraqi Ministry of Interior, in addition to offering an official and public apology to both the Ministry of Interior and the affected officer.
The authority explained that the penalties were based on the powers granted to it under Administrative Order No. 952 issued on March 26, 2025, after observing serious and egregious violations of the approved media broadcasting rules, in the episode that was broadcast on January 27, 2026 of the “Voice of the People” program.
The statement indicated that the violations attributed to the program included incitement to violence, violating the rules of morals and public taste, and promoting false and invalid materials, in addition to the lack of accuracy and transparency in conveying information, which is considered a clear violation of the stipulated rules of the Media and Communications Authority.
The statement also stated that, in the aforementioned episode, the program adopted the promotion of fake visual content transferred from social media platforms, which included immoral allegations against an officer of the Ministry of Interior, which contributed to misleading public opinion and damaging the reputation of the National Security Institution, according to the statement.
