America is investigating suspicious oil deals concluded before Trump’s position on Iran changed

An informed source said that the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission is investigating a series of oil futures deals that were concluded shortly before major policy shifts taken by US President Donald Trump regarding the war on Iran.

Committee Chairman Michael Selig said, in prepared statements to be delivered before Congress on Thursday, that the committee would pursue violators, but the testimony did not address any specific investigation, and a spokesman for the committee declined to comment.
