The UAE participates in a conference "Marlog" International Airport in Alexandria
Alexandria, 9 February / WAM / The UAE, represented by the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, participated in a dialogue session within the activities of the International Maritime Transport and Logistics Conference “MARLOG”, which was held in the city of Alexandria in the Arab Republic of Egypt, in the presence of Their Excellencies the Ministers and senior officials concerned with the sector.
The Ministry reviewed the UAE’s pioneering experience and success stories in digital transformation in the maritime transport and logistics sector.
Her Excellency Engineer Hessa Al Malek, Advisor to the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure for Maritime Transport Affairs, confirmed during her participation in the session that the UAE has succeeded in making a qualitative shift in the maritime transport and logistics system, by adopting advanced digital solutions, employing artificial intelligence, and developing smart platforms to manage maritime operations and supply chains efficiently and flexibly.
She explained that this digital boom directly contributed to enhancing the efficiency of logistical corridors, and raised their readiness and competitiveness. Its impact also extended to include logistical corridors at the regional and global levels, supporting the flow of international trade and enhancing the reliability of supply chains.
She added that the UAE experience in this field stems from a comprehensive vision based on integration between advanced infrastructure, flexible legislation, international partnerships, and digital innovation, which consolidates the country’s position as an influential global center in the maritime transport and logistics sector.
She stressed that the success stories achieved by the UAE in maritime digital transformation represent a practical model of how to build smart and flexible logistics corridors, capable of adapting to changes, and supporting the global trend towards more sustainable and efficient trade.
