Etihad Airways carried 2.2 million passengers during January

Abu Dhabi, February 13, 2025: Etihad Airways carried 2.2 million passengers last January, an increase of 29% compared to January 2025, as 1.7 million guests traveled on Etihad flights.

The seat occupancy rate, according to a press release issued today regarding the preliminary results of passenger traffic for the month of January, reached 89.9% during the month, compared to 89.1% in the previous year.

Etihad Airways’ fleet reached 127 aircraft at the beginning of 2026, with a network covering 110 destinations around the world, including seasonal and cargo destinations, in addition to the destinations scheduled to begin operating during the next 12 months, excluding charter flight destinations.

Antonaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, said that January marked a strong start to 2026, adding that new services to Luxembourg and Calgary were announced last January, two destinations that will be connected for the first time with direct flights to Abu Dhabi.
