المملكة: Islamic Affairs begins implementing programs for distributing dates and breaking the fast for fasting people in Sri Lanka


The Ministry of To distribute dates and Iftar for those who are fasting in the Republic of Sri Lanka, during a ceremony held yesterday, at the headquarters of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the capital, Colombo.
The ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Sri Lanka, Khalid bin Hamoud Al-Qahtani, and the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs in Sri Lanka, Muhammad Munir Muzaffar, along with a number of Islamic affairs officials, heads of Islamic associations and centers, and advocacy and media figures.
The amount of dates distributed is about 5 tons, benefiting 20 people. One thousand fasting men and women, and approximately 5,000 beneficiaries in various regions of the country benefit from the iftar program, which contributes to bringing happiness to the beneficiaries and sharing their joy with the advent of the holy month.

Strengthening the bonds of brotherhood among peoples

The Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs in Sri Lanka expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Highness the Crown Prince – may God protect them. May God bless these humanitarian initiatives that reflect the Kingdom’s interest in Muslims in the world, praising the continuous efforts made by the Ministry in implementing advocacy and relief programs, and stressing that these initiatives contribute to strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and human communication between peoples.
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs implements the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques program to distribute dates in 120 countries in the world, and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques program to break the fast for fasting people in 70 countries, which reflects the Kingdom’s pioneering role. In the service of Islam and Muslims, and consolidating the meanings of brotherhood and solidarity during the month of Blessed Ramadan.
