Fujairah enters the Guinness Book of Records with the largest scientific workshop on honey pollen in the world

Fujairah, February 19 / WAM / The Fujairah Environment Authority, in cooperation with the Fujairah Research Center, achieved a historic achievement that combined scientific accuracy and community participation, to officially register the emirate’s name in the Guinness Book of World Records, during the second edition of the “Fujairah International Bee Research Conference,” which was held at the Al Bahar Hotel and Resort.
During the event, the Authority succeeded in breaking the world record with the participation of 358 people, including scientists, experts, researchers and students, by organizing the largest scientific workshop on honey pollen in the world, thus achieving a new global standard in the category of records based on educational workshops.
This record achievement was not just a new record added to the Guinness Book of Records, but rather constituted an integrated and wide-ranging scientific lesson in the science of studying pollen in honey.
Under the direct supervision of independent judges, a huge number of participants participated in a carefully organized educational program that combined traditional sciences with future technological horizons.
The workshop’s topics extended from visual classification of plant samples and pollen, to microscope-based observations, to the use of classification systems supported by artificial intelligence, which turned it into an immersive scientific experience that presented this precise specialty in a simplified manner and available to a global audience.
This achievement is solid evidence of the Emirate of Fujairah’s growing role as a leading international center for environmental science and beekeeping research.
By mobilizing this large number of participants within a high-level scientific experiment, the Fujairah Environment Authority demonstrated its distinguished ability to link specialized academic research with comprehensive community awareness.
This initiative globally highlights the vital role of bees in supporting food security, maintaining ecosystem balance, and enhancing resilience to the challenges of climate change, especially in arid and semi-arid environments.
