المملكة: The Islamic University organizes the “Iftar Around the World” event coinciding with the Foundation Day

Organized The Islamic University in Medina, the “Iftar Around the World” event in its fifth edition, which this year coincided with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s celebration of The Universityand a number of employees.

This synchronization gave the event profound connotations, as pride in the historical roots and cultural depth of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which extends for three centuries, met with the lofty global message carried by the Islamic University in serving Muslim children from all over the world, which reflected the Kingdom’s pioneering role as a beacon of knowledge and an incubator of multiple cultures under the banner of unity and brotherhood.

The event reviewed cultural diversity. The unique one hosted by the university, where students representing more than 180 nationalities and speaking more than 50 languages gathered at one table, in a scene that embodied the values of coexistence and human acquaintance.

The “Iftar Around the World” event aimed to create a cultural space that enhanced the convergence between international students, by sharing Ramadan dishes that reflect the legacies of their countries, which contributed to enriching the social and student experience, consolidating the spirit of belonging within the educational environment, and highlighting the Kingdom’s continuing efforts in Building bridges of communication between peoples based on their ancient history and bright present.
