18.74% growth in electricity delivery requests for projects in Dubai via the Al-Namoos service during 2025

Dubai, February 23 / WAM / Dubai Electricity and Water Authority announced an increase in the number of electricity delivery requests for commercial, residential and industrial projects through the Al-Namoos service by 18.74% in 2025 compared to 2024.

The service allows consultants and contractors approved by the Authority to deliver electricity to projects with loads of up to 150 kilowatts in two steps and within only 5 days.

The number of requests to connect electricity to projects reached 9,786 requests during the year 2025, while the number of consultants and contractors approved by the Authority reached 2,379 consultants and contractors by the end of the same year.

His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, stressed that the Authority will continue its tireless efforts to advance progress in achieving the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and create the best supportive and competitive business environments that ensure sustainable growth for the Authority and its partners, regardless of their diverse business sizes.

He added that the Authority provides programs and initiatives that expand opportunities for project growth and contribute to accelerating procedures to keep pace with the population, urban and economic boom in Dubai. It provides facilities for industrial, commercial and residential projects to help its partners carry out their work quickly and easily, in a way that supports the infrastructure in the emirate and ensures meeting the growing demand for electricity and water services, consolidating Dubai’s position as a global business centre, doubling the size of Dubai’s economy over the next ten years and strengthening its position among the top 3 economic cities in the world.

For his part, Engineer Rashid bin Humaidan, Executive Vice President of the Energy Distribution Sector at the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, pointed out that the Authority adopts the latest technologies and solutions to enable consultants and contractors to conduct all their transactions at any time and from anywhere with ease and security through the smart application or the Authority’s website.
