المملكة: association "Save grace" More than 22 thousand iftar meals are provided at the Prophet’s Mosque

During the period from 1 to 5 Ramadan 1447 AH, the Society for the Preservation of Grace in Medina contributed to collecting Surplus Iftar at the Prophet’s Mosque, as part of its efforts to reduce food waste and enhance utilization of the surplus in organized and safe ways.
Meals for the first five days
The association explained that the number of surplus meals collected amounted to (22,638) meals, along with (17,250) yogurt packages and (17,172) water bottles, while (98,777) bread wrappers were collected, (15,796) date envelopes, (16,185) dukkah envelopes, (15,596) maamoul envelopes, in addition to (1,900) A pie wrapper.
The association indicated that the estimated value of what was collected during the first five days of Ramadan amounted to (203,742) riyals, which reflects the extent of the efforts made to redirect the surplus and make optimal use of it.
The number of participating volunteers reached (160) male and female volunteers, with a total of (2,509) hours. Volunteering, in addition to operating (8) cars and (250) bags designated for collection and organizing work.
These efforts come in cooperation with the relevant authorities in the Prophet’s Mosque, in support of the integration of volunteer work, and promoting the culture of preserving blessings, in a way that contributes to improving the services provided to visitors of the Prophet’s Mosque, and is consistent with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in supporting volunteer work and maximizing societal impact.
