Operating a new oil well in Egypt

CAIRO, 24th February, 2017 (WAM) – The Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources announced the start of production from a new crude oil well, “Belayim Offshore 133,” in the Belayim offshore field in the Gulf of Suez, at an initial rate of about 1,500 barrels per day.
The Ministry of Petroleum said in a statement today that the well is the first result of the new investment program of the Italian company Eni in the regions of the Gulf of Suez, Sinai and the Delta, in accordance with the agreement signed with the Petroleum Authority to pump new investments in these areas, noting that the “Trident 16” drilling rig is heading to drill a new well “Belayim Marine 131” within the plan.
