The Head of State discusses with the President of South Africa the military escalation taking place in the region and its repercussions

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, discussed today, during a phone call he received from Cyril Ramaphosa, President of the Republic of South Africa, developments in the military and security situation in the region and the threat it poses to regional and international peace and security, due to its serious repercussions and implications.
The President of South Africa expressed his condemnation of the blatant Iranian attacks on the territory of the UAE and a number of sister countries in the region, stressing that they constitute a violation of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
For his part, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan thanked Cyril Ramaphosa for his stance in support of the UAE.
During the call, the two sides called for an immediate halt to the military escalation and resorting to calm and diplomatic solutions in order to avoid further crises in the region, with the threat it poses to security and stability, in addition to its dangerous repercussions on trade and economic activity in the region and the world.
