Israel announces the targeting of a nuclear weapons development complex in Iran

Israel said it attacked a facility near Tehran where a group of Iranian scientists were allegedly secretly working to develop nuclear weapons.

Israeli army spokesman Evi Dufrin said in a statement on Tuesday that the Iranian leadership continued to work on developing the capabilities necessary to produce nuclear weapons, despite the severe damage to the nuclear program in the June 2025 war.

The IDF posted on the X platform: “A group of nuclear scientists used the secret ‘Minzadi’ complex to work on developing a key component for nuclear weapons.”

He added: “Using intelligence information, the Israeli military tracked activities at this new site, removing a key component of the Iranian regime’s ability to develop nuclear weapons.”
