During a phone call with the President of the State, the German Chancellor reiterated his country’s condemnation of the blatant Iranian attacks targeting the Emirates

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, discussed today, during a phone call he received from Friedrich Merz, Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, developments in the situation in the region in light of the escalating military actions and their dangerous repercussions on regional and international security and stability.

During the call, Friedrich Merz renewed Germany’s condemnation of the blatant Iranian attacks that continue to target the UAE and a number of sister countries in the region, stressing his country’s position of solidarity with the UAE in all the measures it takes to protect its security, the safety of its territory and its citizens, noting in this context that the German Foreign Ministry summoned the Iranian ambassador to confirm its condemnation of the unjustified attacks on the countries of the region.

For his part, His Highness the President of the State, Friedrich Merz, thanked Germany for its supportive position and solidarity with the UAE during these circumstances.

The two sides called for the need to immediately stop the escalation and resort to dialogue and diplomatic means to settle the various outstanding issues in the Middle East region in a way that preserves its security and stability and avoids further crises.
