"Emirates Blood Donation" organize "Ramadan together" To enhance the values of solidarity and volunteerism

Abu Dhabi, 12 March / WAM / For the fourth year in a row, the Emirates Blood Donation Association continues to organize the “Ramadan Together” initiative, which is held annually during the holy month of Ramadan in cooperation with a number of government agencies and national institutions, with the aim of promoting the values of solidarity and compassion and consolidating the culture of volunteer work in society.
The initiative includes distributing breakfast meals to families, in addition to distributing fast-breaking meals at traffic lights.
The initiative comes in its fourth edition this year in a distinctive way, as it focused on supporting the family, emphasizing the association’s commitment to supporting national trends and promoting the principles of community solidarity.
The initiative’s activities are held in both Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, with wide participation from government agencies and national institutions, as the number of partners and supporters of this edition has reached about 15 entities, the most prominent of which are: the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, the Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, Abu Dhabi Police, Rabdan Academy, Agthia Company, Al Ain Farms, Al Qattara Market, and the Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Cultural Center, in addition to a number of other institutions.
The initiative also witnessed wide participation from volunteers, numbering about 1,600 volunteers in the cities of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, which reflects the spirit of giving that characterizes Emirati society.
Also within the framework of the initiative, the “Diplomatic Tent” event was organized with the participation of Their Excellencies, men of the diplomatic corps, and national leaders in various institutions and ministries, in addition to the “Tabsheer Together” initiative.
His Excellency Dr. Ali Ahmed Al Ansari, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Blood Donation Association, said that the “Ramadan Together” initiative comes within the framework of the keenness to enhance humanitarian work and community service.
He added that the initiative included many activities, including the Diplomatic Tent event, which was organized this year in conjunction with Zayed Humanitarian Work Day at the Sheikh Zayed National Museum, with the broad participation of Their Excellencies and men of the diplomatic corps, and embodied the UAE’s humanitarian message to the world.
