Dubai wins the title " The basket" And Baraa is at the top "The table" Starring Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed" Al Wathba 2026"
Abu Dhabi, March 12 / WAM / The Dubai team won the elite category title in basketball competitions, within the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Ramadan Championship – Al Wathba 2026, and Telefxr came in runner-up, and the Star Point team came in third.
The championship is organized under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Presidential Office, at the headquarters of the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Al Wathba, and continues until March 17, with the participation of more than 5,000 male and female athletes in 16 competitions, with a total prize pool of 10 million dirhams.
In the open basket category, the B-Oleg team won first place, the Termines team came second, and the 140 team came third, while the Moen team topped the under-18 category, the Tabasco team came in runner-up, and Macassis came third.
Jordanian Baraa Al-Widyan was crowned champion of the women’s table tennis championship, after defeating her compatriot Yara Al-Dumaisi, while Indonesian Zahra Rahma won the women’s badminton championship title, and Nouran Rato was runner-up and Misha Khan was third.
The round of 16 football matches witnessed strong competitions amidst a large crowd, and the results resulted in the Bolivia teams defeating Samba 3-2, Egus defeating Al-Kataba 3-2, the National Archives and Library defeating Tabreed on penalty kicks after a 3-3 draw, Baynouna defeating Al-Wanan 3-1, Salisbury defeating IAC 5-0, and Abeka defeating Al-Ittihad Masters 4-1.
The Muay Thai competitions will continue tomorrow, with the participation of players from various age groups, while the “Heritage Wrestling” competitions will conclude, in addition to the cricket and padel competitions.
The organizing committee confirmed that the tournament’s various competitions and events are witnessing an increasing public attendance, to follow the competitions and participate in the daily draws for the distinguished prizes for the winners.
