Rains of varying intensity cover large areas of the country
Abu Dhabi, March 24 / WAM / Today, Tuesday, good rain fell in various areas of the Emirates, where it was observed until eight o’clock in the evening, and its intensity varied between heavy, accompanied by lightning and thunder, and medium and light, to cover a wide geographical area of the various emirates of the country.
The National Center of Meteorology stated, in a statement, that heavy rain accompanied by lightning and thunder was recorded in a number of areas of Abu Dhabi, including Riyadh, Al Wathba, Zayed International Airport, Khalifa City, and Zayed City, in addition to Al Faya in Sharjah, and a number of Al Ain areas, including Al Saad, Al Faqa’, Al Masoudi, Al Foah, Nahil, and Al Ain International Airport.
The impact of the weather condition extended to include several areas in Al Dhafra, where Makasib Island, Mahamiliya, Al Yasat, Sir Bani Yas, West Ghayathi, West Bu Hasa, Ghayathi, northeastern Yu Al Nazra, South Habshan, Mlisah, and Al Mirfa witnessed heavy rain, in addition to Al Dhaid and Mleiha in Sharjah, and various areas of Fujairah, Habshan in Abu Dhabi, Al Dhait and Sheikh Khalifa City in Ras. Al Khaimah and Al Shuwaib in Al Ain.
Moderate to heavy rain, accompanied by lightning and thunder, was also recorded in Mohammed bin Zayed City and Baniyas in Abu Dhabi, and west of Sweihan in Al Ain.
In the same context, various areas witnessed moderate to heavy rains, including Al Sila, Sheikha Salama Bint Butti Road, Ras Ghamis, Liwa, Madinat Zayed, and South Bu Hasa in Al Dhafra, in addition to a number of islands and vital areas in Abu Dhabi, including Port Zayed, Al Maryah Island, Al Reem, Abu Al Abyad, Das, Zirku, Dinah, Qarnain, Shakhbout City, Al Shawamekh, and Al Hudayriat. Al Futaisi, Saadiyat, Yas, Ghantoot, North Shanayen, Salamiyah, Al Nouf, Khalifa City, and Masdar City, in addition to various areas of Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah, Khor Fakkan, Kalba, parts of Dubai, Dibba Al Fujairah, Al Khor Al Sharqi, Umm Al Quwain Port, Al Siniyah Island, Hatta, Al Nabagh, Al Khabisi, and Al Tawiya in Al Ain.
Other areas also witnessed moderate rain, including Umm Al Ashtan in Al Dhafra, Al Bateen, Balghailam Island, Sir Bu Nair, Rumhan, and Al Bahia in Abu Dhabi, Jebel Jais and Khor Khuwair in Ras Al Khaimah, and Razin, Al Khatm, Al Khazna, Remah, and Abu Samra in Al Ain.
Light to moderate rain was distributed over several areas, including Abu Dhabi Industrial City, Umm Al Zamul in Al Ain, North Jassioura, Bidaa Dafas, Madinat Zayed, Hmeim, and Jassioras in Al Dhafra, Al Hudayriat Island, Al Shawamekh, Al Falah in Abu Dhabi, Al Hayer in Al Ain, and Arzana Island.
Light rain was recorded in southern Al Hamra, northern and Tayed in Al Dhafra, Abu Dhabi Corniche, Pearl Island, Al Ruwaidat, Al Sarooj, Jebel Hafeet, Al Dhaher, Mazyad, and Al Ain Al Fayda in Al Ain.
