المملكة: With 15 support centres, Jeddah is activating its field plans to confront the expected rains

In response to reports from the National Center of Meteorology that indicate the possibility of Rainfall in the area. The Jeddah Governorate Municipality has begun activating its comprehensive field plans and taking the necessary precautionary measures to ensure the safety of the population. The plans included deploying technical teams, machinery and equipment in the targeted locations while raising the level of maximum readiness and direct and continuous coordination with all concerned parties to deal with The upcoming rainy season with high efficiency.

Strengthening support centers

The secretariat raised the level of its early preparations for the rainy season by strengthening 15 support centers distributed across 11 sub-municipalities to ensure comprehensive and rapid geographical coverage.
The preparations included conducting periodic maintenance and intensive cleaning of the Rainwater drainage existing in various neighborhoods to ensure the flow of water and the absence of obstacles hindering drainage operations during rainfall.

Readiness of technical equipment

The secretariat confirmed the readiness of all pumps, heavy and light equipment, in addition to trained human cadres to ensure rapid response and immediate intervention when needed in critical locations. The field teams work according to a well-thought-out distribution plan that aims to reduce the response time to reports and deal with water puddles in record time to ensure the continuity of traffic and the safety of road users.

Activating awareness messages

The secretariat continues its careful follow-up of alerts issued by the National Center of Meteorology and the Center for Crisis and Disaster Management, while activating awareness messages through its various official channels to communicate with the public. These efforts aim to educate residents and visitors about the necessity of following safety instructions during rainfall and to support the efforts of the competent authorities in the field to ensure that the rainy situation passes without damage.
