Dubai, March 28 / WAM / The Emirati horse “Native Approach” was crowned the “Al Quoz Sprint” champion for purebred crossbred horses in the first category, the fifth round of the evening of the Dubai World Cup 2026 in its 30th edition, which was held today at the Meydan International Racecourse.

“Native Approach,” owned by Hamdan Harmash, under the supervision of coach Ahmed bin Harmash and led by jockey Connor Beasley, succeeded in winning the race, which was held at a distance of 1,200 meters on the grass track, with the participation of 13 elite horses, and the value of its prizes amounted to 1.5 million dollars, sponsored by “Azizi Real Estate Development.”

Five-year-old Native Approach recorded a time of 1:10:02 minutes, a difference of 0.38 lengths, to win first place and a cash prize worth $870,000.

The Japanese horse “Logal”, owned by Yoshimasa Emma, ​​came in second place, under the supervision of Haruki Sugiyama and driven by jockey Katsuma Sameshima, and won a financial prize of $300,000, while the Qatari horse “Lazat”, owned by Ludhanan Racing, came in third place, under the supervision of Derom Rainier and driven by James Doyle, and won a financial prize of $150,000.
