The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority warns against sharing digital identity data and verification code

The Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TADRA) has warned against sharing login data or digital identity verification code with any entity or individuals who request this from users.
She explained through her official account on social media platforms that the official authorities will not ask digital ID users for registration data or verification code.
Tadra called on users to be aware and pay attention not to share the “code”, or verification code for the digital identity application, with anyone.
It also called on users to report through the digital identity support channels, if they suspect a fraud they are exposed to regarding any data related to the digital identity.
She also stressed the importance of paying attention to the fact that some fraudsters are trying to persuade the victim to request a “replacement” for lost SIM cards, request the extraction of phone SIM cards, or implement procedures that require facial fingerprint verification through services that rely on biometric verification.
The Authority reaffirmed the importance of sufficient awareness among users, not sharing any confidential digital identity information, and the necessity of permanently protecting their digital identity data.
• Official authorities will not request registration data or verification code.
