Azerbaijani “Asaf” and Russian “Mogamed” champions the international version of “Emirates Warriors”

Azerbaijani Asaf Sharbov maintained his title in the 69th international edition of the “Emirates Warriors” Mixed Martial Arts Championship, after his victory, the day before yesterday, over Brazilian Adriano Ramos in the “bantamweight” by submission, during the championship bouts that were held in the Al Khabisi Hall in the Al Ain Convention Center “ADNEC”.
Russian Mogamed Tokalov also won the “light heavyweight” edition title, after defeating Brazilian Caio Machado by knockout.
Champion Assaf was able to maintain the title he won in the 64th edition of the tournament.
The champions were crowned by the President of the UAE and Asian Jiu-Jitsu Federations and First Vice President of the International Federation, Abdul Moneim Al Hashemi, in the presence of a member of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation and Chairman of the Mixed Martial Arts Committee, Mohammed Al Dhaheri, and the CEO of Palms Sports Company and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Fouad Darwish.
The evening witnessed 10 strong fights, the most prominent of which was the victory of the rising Brazilian Alex da Silva over the Russian Arbi Mezhdov by submission in the 67-kilogram weight, and in the women’s fight, the Azerbaijani Farida Abdoyev was able to defeat the Brazilian Fernanda Silva by unanimous decision of the judges in the straw weight.
For his part, the Azerbaijani champion Asaf expressed his happiness in maintaining the title of the international version, stressing that this coronation was not easy in front of a strong opponent.
