The conclusion of the Year of the Family cycling race in Abu Dhabi
ABU DHABI, 7 APRIL / WAM / Yesterday, the Abu Dhabi Sports Council concluded the “Year of the Family Cycling Race” event, which was held on Al Hudayriat Island, with wide participation from different nationalities and age groups, in a distinguished sports atmosphere that reflected the spirit of community interaction and the importance of spreading the culture of physical activity.
The race included a variety of events, including a 40-km men’s race, a 30-km women’s race, 10- and 20-km junior races, 3- and 5-km family rides, in addition to a 10-km race for people of determination for juniors, as well as entertainment and interactive competitions directed at children and people of determination.
The event witnessed a large turnout; It attracted hundreds of participants from several countries, including the UAE, Syria, Egypt, Britain, Argentina, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Russia, which reflects the growing status of Abu Dhabi as a global destination for community sporting events.
