Commercial registrations in Saudi Arabia increased to 1.89 million by the end of the first quarter


The number of existing commercial registrations in Saudi Arabia at the end of the first quarter of this year reached about 1.89 million records, an increase of 1.3% on an annual basis, while the number of records issued during this quarter reached about 71 thousand records, according to the Business Sector Bulletin for the first quarter of 2026, issued by Records issued to women 47%, and the Riyadh region topped the number of records issued in the first quarter, reaching 24,627 records, followed by the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region with 14,892 records, then the Eastern Province with 10,500 records, Al-Qassim with 4,387 records, and Asir with 3,344 records. The commercial records issued to companies during the first quarter of 2026 included 28,811 records for limited liability companies, 22 simple partnership companies, 8 joint stock companies, 84 simple joint stock companies, and 194 partnership companies.

Most prominent sectors
