The 400 goal race takes center stage in the 22nd round of the ADNOC Professional League

Abu Dhabi, April 8 / WAM / The ADNOC Professional Football League is awaiting a special moment with the start of Round 22, as the goal count stands at 399 goals, making the first goal in the next round the 400th goal in the competition this season, a number that reflects the great attacking strength that the league has witnessed so far.

This moment comes after the 21st round, in which the clubs continued to confirm the scoring trend, after 20 goals were scored in 7 matches, in one of the goal-rich rounds.

The most exciting match in terms of scoring was the match between Al-Nasr and Al-Wahda, which witnessed four goals scored and ended in a draw (2-2). This is the same scenario that was repeated in the match between Kalba and Al-Bataeh, which also ended with a score of (2-2).

Looking at the numbers for the current season, 147 matches have been played so far, during which 399 goals were scored, with a scoring average of 2.71 goals per match, which reflects the high attacking style in the league competitions.

According to the Professional Football Association, Shabab Al-Ahly tops the list of most goals scored at the team level with 50 goals, followed by Al Ain with 43 goals, then Al Jazira with 34 goals, while Al Wahda and Sharjah each have one goal tally, which is 31 goals for each team, which puts more than one team as a candidate to contribute to scoring the historic goal.

As for the players, Kodjo Lapa tops the scorers list with 20 goals, followed by Omar Khribin, with 15 goals, then Tariq Tissodale, with 10 goals, while Youri Cesar Santos, Shehryar Majanlou, Karim El Berkaoui, and Nabil Fekir each have 8 goals.

In light of these numbers, the identity of the scorer of the 400th goal remains open to several possibilities, especially with the presence of prominent scorers who are accustomed to visiting the net on a regular basis, along with teams that possess clear attacking strength.

The most likely scenario might be for the goal to come from one of the top scoring stars, or from a team that has a clear offensive advantage.
