المملكة: Al-Ahsa Laboratory obtains international accreditation to consolidate food security

Al-Ahsa Municipality obtained the accreditation certificate from the Saudi Accreditation Center «SAAC» For the food and environmental safety laboratory in accordance with the international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017, in a strategic step aimed at strengthening the public health system and raising the efficiency of services.
The secretariat confirmed that this award reflects its deep commitment By raising the efficiency of its sectors, and applying the best technical practices, to develop institutional work according to an integrated system that keeps pace with quality requirements.
She indicated that obtaining this certificate represents a qualitative step that raises the “reliability of its technical outputs,” in a way that supports its tireless efforts to enhance food security and protect the health of consumers in the governorate.
An advanced laboratory with the highest equipment
And it revealed the advanced capabilities of the laboratory, as a specialized unit in Analyzing food samples, and verifying their quality and full conformity with internationally approved standard specifications.
She pointed to the laboratory’s pivotal role in conducting periodic control checks, aiming to enhance prevention and raise safety levels within an integrated food protection system.
The secretariat pointed out that the laboratory is equipped with the latest diagnostic technologies, and is managed by specialized technical cadres that carry out their tasks in accordance with the highest professional standards and precise operational procedures.
