المملكة: A dust wave hits Riyadh.. and"Meteorology" A red alert is triggered in the capital
Today, the Riyadh region witnessed An active dust wave accompanied by dusty surface winds, which led to a decrease in horizontal visibility on a number of roads and open areas, coinciding with weather fluctuations affecting parts of the region.
In the same context, the National Center of Meteorology raised the alert level to red for the governorates of Al-Sulail and Wadi Al-Dawasir, warning of a severe rain event starting at 3:00 pm and continuing until 11:00 pm today.
Heavy rain
The center explained that the situation includes heavy rain accompanied by high-speed winds, lack of horizontal visibility, hail, flowing torrents, and thunderbolts.
The center called on everyone to be cautious, stay away from flood streams and valleys, and follow safety instructions issued by the competent authorities, while following up on continuous updates through the center’s official platforms.
