Dubai Chambers is looking to enhance bilateral trade and investment with Indonesia

Dubai Chambers discussed with the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the country, Yuda Nugraha, opportunities to develop bilateral economic partnerships in various priority sectors, which contributes to supporting the growth of bilateral relations, and the prospects for enhancing trade and investment cooperation between the business communities in Dubai and Indonesia, and developing and expanding joint work to contribute to achieving common interests.
The meeting reviewed ways to strengthen integration between the business systems in Dubai and Indonesia, improve relations between private sector companies, and enhance the sustainability of economic and trade ties. They also discussed intensifying joint coordination to support adaptation to global changes and keep pace with their developments.
Director General of Dubai Chambers, Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah, said: Indonesia is an important strategic partner for Dubai, and we are committed to developing the level of economic cooperation by building on existing gains and exploring new opportunities for partnership, especially in fast-growing sectors, in a way that supports development and strengthens trade and investment ties between the two parties, stressing the keenness to support Indonesian companies for growth and expansion in the region starting from Dubai, and to benefit from the promising growth prospects that the emirate abounds with.
During the past year, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce recorded 64 new Indonesian companies joining its membership, bringing the total number of active Indonesian companies registered in the chamber’s membership to 198 companies by the end of last year, representing an annual increase of 23.8%.
This continued growth reflects the Indonesian business community’s growing confidence in the attractiveness of Dubai’s dynamic market and its promising opportunities.
